I do Massage Therapy which will focus more on a presenting physical pain or injury. I can also do Pregnancy massage to help alleviate and relax the body as it creates the space for the new life.
Holistic massage incorporates Reiki energy, but it is still a massage.
Reiki is a non-invasive treatment that involves harnessing your bodies own energy and using it to help heal yourself.
With Holistic Massage and Reiki, I ask that you create an intention of what you wish to move towards for your self for this is also reflected in your body. Your intention then becomes my intention for the session.
Not really. I respond to where the patient is at when I meet them.
I have always wanted to “help” people, so my work history centred around helping type positions. When I studied massage, I was also introduced to other healing modalities. I feel that there is more than just the physical presentation of an illness or injury and if people truly connect to their bodies, they can create a dialogue for healing.
I enjoy Trivia. I do strength training once a week because I believe that a strong muscle base sees your body lasting into the older years. I like to socialise with family and friends. I also belong to a group of ‘healer’ types and we meet regularly to support and give each other healing. I have recently taken up learning to golf – very enjoyable although I am in the very early stages of learning.
