An Interview with our new Naturopath – Natalie Gibson

May 6, 2024

What made you decide to become a Naturopath?

After having issues with my own gut from travelling a lot when I was younger, I saw a naturopath and healed my own gut and fell in love with the idea and concept of natural health.

For those not familiar with Naturopathy can you describe what it is you do?

As a naturopath, my role is to investigate and identify the root cause/s of an individual’s symptoms. By identifying the root cause, I can support the body to improve current symptoms, prevent any further symptoms or disease progression.

I do this by asking a lot of questions and using other testing methods whilst looking at all body systems of the body, as one system does not work in isolation!

To support the body, I use herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, diet and lifestyle amendments to support the body’s inherent need to thrive.

In Clinical practice is there any special area of interest you like to support clients to manage?

Gut health, immune health, autoimmune conditions and thyroid health

What made you so passionate about supporting people in this area?

My own gut issues and a family history of immune, autoimmune and thyroid concerns makes me determined to ensure I do not head down the same path and makes me passionate to support others with these conditions.

What are your personal interests outside of the clinic?

Tending to my veggie patch, op shopping, walks and spending time with my family.
