Nutritionists Melbourne at Essendon Natural Health

With so much online information around diets, nutrition and health in general; trying to navigate your way through all the conflicting (and often misleading) advice can be overwhelming.

At Essendon Natural Health, we’re here to tell you that improving your health doesn’t have to be so complicated. By making some small dietary changes today, you can enjoy a healthier lifestyle tomorrow.

Whether you are looking to lose weight, reduce your risk of chronic health conditions, or simply learn how to manage your own health and diet more efficiently; our expert nutritional practitioners will equip you with the tools to achieve a healthier you.

We have experienced nutritionists in Essendon who want to help you succeed

When it comes to nutritional medicine, Essendon Natural Health is not interested in adopting a “one size fits all” approach. Everyone is different, and our nutritional practitioners will tailor their recommendations and advice to cater for your specific needs.

The same way that a personal trainer takes things like previous injuries and medical conditions into account when creating a tailor-made program, we take the time to get to know you personally so that we can help you achieve your individual goals.

From food allergies and intolerances, to conditions like irritable bowel syndrome and chronic constipation, our nutritionists are well-versed in the pitfalls and challenges of eating healthy and leading active lifestyles. This includes the factors you may not have considered yourself; like sleeping habits, work routines, mental health, social life and other crucial details.

Rather than opting for a “quick fix”, we adopt a “big picture” approach to implementing long-term changes that will permanently improve your lifestyle. In fact, we apply the same approach to our osteopathy, naturopathy, hypnotherapy and holistic healing treatments.

What happens during my first consultation with a Nutritionist at Essendon Natural Health?

Our experienced nutritionists will start by first gaining an understanding of what your presenting complaint is and what brings you to us. From there they will investigate how you currently eat; including the type of food consumed, the quantity, and the timing of when you eat.

Upon discussion, recommendations can be made on how to make adjustments to your dietary habits in order to achieve the outcome you and your practitioner would like. This process may involve taking into consideration blood test results, family history, work hours, preparation time and other factors.

Your personal nutrition practitioner may recommend supplements if there is evidence of nutritional deficiencies. A diet plan or formal written advice may be provided to you to help guide you through the process of making changes. Your practitioner will then look at making a future appointment to review and refine these changes, discussing any difficulties you may be having and providing alternative solutions in order to achieve your health goals.
